Before we move off the subject of what goes into, and on to what comes out of your mind and mouth, below is some interesting information from the website Paleo Leap.
There is a difference between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. One is from wear and tear and occurs slowly over time and the other is a chronic disease of the autoimmune system.
Osteoarthritis is the breaking down of the cartilage that cushions bones and stops them rubbing against each other. Calcium builds up on the bones and in the soft tissue, making them stiff and painful to move.
Rheumatoid arthritis can affect the whole body and not only the tissues around the joints with symptoms including fatigue, low-grade fever, body aches, stiff, red and painful joints, bloating and others. It is not easily diagnosed requiring several blood tests and analysis of the signs and symptoms. In some cases by the time it is diagnosed irreparable damage is done. But….don’t forget there is always hope.
Some RA sufferers have found tremendous relief and hope by following the Paleo diet. Here is a website and book you may find helpful. It’s always good to gather all the information you can and then see what works for YOU! (There it is again, I think I’m going to coin a new word here – WWFY! Oh, I like that, yes I do.)
The Paleo Approach by Sarah Ballantyne Phd. I have not personally read this book yet, but it comes highly recommended.
And if you’re after that something sweet they even have a dessert tray!
Where there is life – with sweets – there is hope.
I sincerely hope you find WWFY sooner rather than later.
